Miriam Miranda Lamadrid

Miriam Miranda Lamadrid, an Associate Professional Clinical Counselor (APCC) at Family Matters Counseling, is committed to providing compassionate support tailored to individual needs. Fluent in both English and Spanish, Miriam offers therapy to a diverse range of clients, including adults, children, teenagers, couples, and the LGBTQ community. Her areas of specialization encompass anxiety, stress, depression, grief and loss, trauma, adjustment disorders, and family conflict.

Miriam employs a variety of therapeutic approaches to best address the unique challenges faced by her clients. These include Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Trauma-Focused CBT, Solution-Focused Brief Therapy, Art Therapy, Play Therapy, Marriage and Family Therapy, Person-Centered Therapy, Cultural Therapy, and Grief and Loss Therapy. With a comprehensive approach and a deep understanding of cultural nuances, Miriam is dedicated to helping her clients navigate their paths to healing and personal growth.


Christopher Atlas

Christopher Atlas, an Associate Marriage and Family Therapist (AMFT) registered with the Board of Behavioral Sciences in Sacramento, CA, is dedicated to aiding personal and professional growth through the enhancement of relationships. Christopher offers support to individuals from age 2+, encompassing a broad spectrum of clients without an upper age limit. His therapeutic approach is rooted in a partnership model that focuses on improving mental health through strengthening interpersonal connections.

Psychology and an M.S. in Counseling Psychology, and further specialized with certifications in Cognitive and Developmental Psychology, Christopher is adept in a variety of psychological theories and therapies. These include Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Family Systems Theories, Child Psychology, Adolescent Psychology, and Career Counseling. His practice addresses anxiety, depression, anger management, grief, and conflict resolution.


Natalia Guzman

Natalia Guzman, an Associate Marriage and Family Therapist (AMFT) nearing the completion of her 3000 hours of supervised experience, is on the cusp of licensure as a Marriage and Family Therapist. With a compassionate approach, Natalia specializes in supporting individuals dealing with trauma, depression, anxiety, self-esteem issues, and life adjustments. She empowers her clients with coping strategies essential for daily challenges. Her therapeutic techniques include a combination of mindfulness, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Solution-Focused Therapy, and Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT).

As a client-centered therapist, Natalia believes in empowering clients to find their own solutions while providing steadfast support throughout their journey of healing and growth. Passionately serving the Spanish-speaking community, she offers culturally sensitive therapy to individuals across all age groups. Natalia is dedicated to creating a welcoming and safe environment where clients can freely express themselves, fostering resilience and encouraging positive transformation.
