Family Matters Counseling Services facilitates psychological testing at its counseling center. The test evaluates the extent and the nature of a specific mental health issue. One of the expectations from the test is to ascertain the presence of a thought disorder or serious psychiatric issue. Generally, psychological testing is requested when a traditional mental health assessment may not yield conclusive disorder identification. The testing consists of a set of tasks or questions that elicit certain responses or behaviors. These tests/tasks include standardized aptitude and achievement instruments, diagnostic and evaluative devices, interest inventories, personality inventories, and projective instruments.
